Take a look at the inconspicuous pillar that separates Ghana from Cote d'Ivoire.

Every country has a border; a point where one country finishes and another begins. While some of these are clearly defined, others are not so much. Ghana and Cote d'Ivoire recently had to seek legal remedy over their maritime boundary, which Ghana won. The two countries have maintained a cordial relationship for many years. While there are some porous borders between these two countries, one of the most intriguing elements of these demarcations is that some of them are only a short walk apart. An photograph of one of these borders has surfaced online, and several individuals have shared it. This happened after someone allegedly shot a photo from the location, which has since been shared numerous times. In the photograph, two gentlemen stretch their hands in a handshake, one on either side of a little concrete pillar barely a few metres off the ground. The photo, which has been widely circulated, is believed to show the delineation (boundary) between the two countries. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that a simple stroll over or a few metres has shown a border between Ghana and some of its neighbours.
